Blushing is one of the most common symptoms of social anxiety disorder, but just because you blush on occasion doesn't necessarily mean you should be diagnosed with the disorder.
Blushing is the reaction I am personally most familiar with.
Too clearly I can remember the vicious mind loops wherein all I could think of was how I was going to blush and how, when I turned that bright shade of crimson, everyone would think I was a loser.
As I have mentioned previously, I believe it was this intense fear which led to the persistance of the mind loops and thus the blushing.
One method I used by which I managed to overcome turning red on almost every occasion by confronting my fears, not so much 'face on,' as I found that too difficult, but instead by watching other people - seeing how they reacted on the occasions where I would adversely react.
Look for evidence in their eyes and in their behaviour that they too are not fully comfortable with the situation but such discomfort is not manifested in the form of facial blushing.
